Sound Circus

Sound Circus is modelled on the traditional idea of a travelling circus, in which a dozen sound artists, performing or installing new and experimental music, explore the outback area known as ‘Corner Country’. This sonic odyssey will feature new and old technologies such as kite, fence, auto-drumming, and sonic sculpture projects intermingled with traditional instruments such as violin, double bass, vibraphone or clarinet in environmental contexts. The emphasis will be on live music that uses interactive technology, engages with the environment, and connects to the people who live in Corner Country.

Where: White Cliffs Arts Festival 6-9 September, Mutawintji National Park, Broken Hill School of The Air, Milparinka, Tibooburra, Cameron Corner, Innamicka, Strzelecki Track. Exact dates for each venue to be announced. All events are by donation; all donations go directly to The Royal Flying Doctor Service.
